ABOUT
ABOUT
Hamina is self-taught abstract artist based in Bedfordshire. She has maintained a successful career whilst fulfilling her creative passions.

Within her career role in Human Resources, Hamina has been able to hone her holistic approach in understanding the complexities of people, mental health, and emotions which are so often reflected in her forms of abstract expressionism. She uses colours, textures and bold lines to explore human emotion, breaking the expectation of pre-meditated movements of perfection through freestyle trails and lines. Each of her pieces embraces the philosophy of nature verses nurture, chaos verses calm.

The influence of her South Indian heritage, along with her life experiences, are reflected in each original art piece through colours and patterns.

"My intention as an artist is to draw viewers in through discovery of their own emotions reflected between the lines within each piece.

My choice to explore between textures, colours and bold lines is a simple one as my works endeavours to reflect the emotions, turmoil, celebrations, and experiences of life.

Life is not a flat surface, it has bumps and ridges, grey areas and black and white ones, the calm within the chaos. It is within the imperfections of life we find beauty."
